and Support Program
Our corporation is certfied to the highest
level of service possible with Sun Microsystems, Sun Service Manager,
allowing us to provide and sign Sun Spectrum Service Contracts. We have
a local spare parts depot, certified personnel and are fully integrated
with Sun Service escalation and problem tracking systems.
Sun Spectrum Service Levels
There are 3 general Sun Spectrum
service levels for support contracts: GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE. Each
of these levels has options and can be tailored to customers needs covering
a wide realm of options from the system self-maintenance services of SunSpectrum
Bronze support to the mission-critical services of SunSpectrum Gold support.

hours and response times may for Puerto Rico. Please contact our Service
Department for more information.
Spare Parts Depot
As part of the Sun Service Manager Plus (SSM+) Certification, Quantum
Business Engineering operates a Sun’s Spare Parts Depot in their
offices in the Metropolitan Area. For qualifying SunSpectrum support customers,
QBE will replace any defective parts in a timely manner.
Our inventory levels are guaranteed by quarterly reviews
performed by Sun Corporate Auditors.
Certified Service
Our local service department and personnel go through a yearly audit to ensure proper service to our
customers who receive a Sun Spectrum contract.
In addition, our technical team consists of specialized system engineers
trained and certified in Sun Solaris Operating Systems, Solaris System
Administration, Checkpoint Security Products, Project Management and SAP.
Furthermore, our engineers are trained in Fault Analysis, Network Design
and Analysis, Veritas Solutions, SunOne Products and Services, Oracle,
Sybase and Informix databases.
Additional Engineering Services
We understand that just keeping your system operational is sometimes not
enough and that other services are needed to help ensure system needs.
We believe that support is customer driven and all our programs are tailored
to meet customer needs.
Operating System Upgrades
Operating systems keep changing adding functionality and performance.
We offer an OS upgrade program that not only includes the actual upgrade
but can offer help with the project management and design of such a change.
Systems Administration
Sometimes our customers do not have the personnel to administer new projects
after their implementation. We offer programs to do remote system administration
by an assigned Engineer.
Engineer Mentoring
For customers that have the personnel to administer the new system, but
lack the experience or do not feel comfortable with the new responsibility
we offer the mentoring program. This program assigns an engineer to ‘help’
your personnel define tasks, procedures and execute daily administration
functions.
